Transport conditions
These transport conditions regulate the shipping methods from the Edmo warehouse, transport by the courier and delivery to the destination address provided by the customer during the order.
Countries reached
At the moment Edmo delivers to all European countries, England, Canada and United States. If the destination of the package is in a country not present in the list and you still wish to place an order, please contact us and we will provide an estimate of the transport costs to the requested destination.
The list may be subject to change without notice.
Any customs clearance costs, customs duties, extra payments on delivery, taxes (VAT/VAT/GST) are always borne by the customer and nothing can be requested from Edmo as a reimbursement for these possible costs, which are not attributable to Edmo.
Transport
The products travel in parcels packed and delivered to the national/international shipper. Shipping is traceable except in specific cases. If there is a need to use a specific courier, please provide the information before shipping. The safety of being able to use a different courier is absolutely not guaranteed but maximum availability in meeting the buyer's needs is confirmed.
Delivery times are to be considered indicative and any delay with respect to the same does not entitle the customer to refuse delivery or request compensation or indemnity. Delivery times may vary during sales, long weekends and holidays or particular commercial initiatives such as Black Friday, etc.
Edmo will not be responsible for failure or delay in delivery due to causes of force majeure (e.g. strikes, measures by the Public Authority, transport difficulties, fires, floods, inundations), not dependent on Edmo.
Delivery
For deliveries, Edmo will use the collaboration of selected express couriers. Edmo undertakes to deliver the available items, on weekdays and will ship the products as soon as possible.
In the event of refusal or failure to deliver due to the absence of the Customer during the attempts foreseen by the procedure applied by the courier, Edmo will be forced to charge the customer for the extraordinary expenses incurred for the storage/re-delivery/return of the ordered Products.
The Customer, in his interest, must organize himself so that the shipper can find a person for the delivery at the address signed during the order. In the event of failed delivery due to the absence of the recipient at the time of the courier's access, the purchased goods will remain in storage. In these cases, if the Buyer does not collect the goods within the terms indicated by the courier, the package will be returned to the Seller.
In this case, the contract must be considered terminated by law pursuant to art. 1456 c.c. with consequent cancellation of the order and the Seller may notify the Buyer by email. Within 14 working days of the communication above, the Seller will refund the total amount paid by the User for the Products, minus the costs of the unsuccessful shipment, any storage costs at the courier's facilities and any costs for returning the goods to the Seller or any other costs that the Seller has had to bear due to the failed delivery caused by the absence or inertia of the Buyer in fulfilling his obligation to receive the delivery.
The refund described above will be credited to the same payment method used by the Buyer. In the event that the Buyer intends to request the delivery of the goods subject to termination of the contract again, he will necessarily have to proceed with a new purchase order. The Seller has the right to refuse orders from Buyers against whom the Seller has previously asserted the termination for failed delivery described in the previous paragraphs.
Transport Price
The cost of shipping is borne by the buyer and is calculated by the system during check-out based on the destination. For transport abroad the calculation could be excessive as it is based on an estimate of the volumetric weight. In the event of an excessive transport price, we invite you to contact us to evaluate together the best solution (for example the use of a different courier) for the shipment. Any excess differences will clearly be refunded to the customer.
Edmo has no obligation to provide a shipping alternative or prepare packages solely for the purpose of estimating the shipping cost.
Furthermore Edmo reserves the right to cancel orders whose cost calculated by the system is excessively lower than the actual cost requested by the courier. This is clearly done after sharing the information with the customer, with whom we will always try to find the best solution for both parties. In case of failure to reach an agreement and cancellation of the order, the refund of the product will be made to the customer.
For bulky objects the transport price may necessarily have to be calculated at a later stage after check-out to obtain the price corrected based on the volumetric weight calculated by the courier. This implies that orders containing bulky items cannot be considered concluded until the correct shipping price has been calculated and approved by the buyer. Obviously in case of non-approval, the order will be canceled and the entire amount paid will be returned to the customer by Edmo, except for any expenses incurred. No extra costs (for example for customizing a box) will be charged to the customer without approval of the same.
The shipping price is included for orders in Italy over 75 euros and abroad if over 125 EUR. This does not apply to destinations that are difficult to reach (e.g. islands or remote locations). Edmo reserves the right to eliminate this policy at any time, without notice or explanation. Clearly this does not include orders already placed and paid for.
Package delivery
Please always check your email and/or telephone to check any messages from the courier and ensure the courier's presence during delivery times. Any costs of storage or non-delivery will be borne by the Customer.
Delivery of the ordered goods is always intended to be at street level, unless the delivery person is voluntarily available. There is no delivery service to the buyer's floor, especially in the case of bulky objects, nor porterage, installation or disposal services for packaging and/or waste.
Upon receipt of the goods, the Customer is obliged to check that the number of packages corresponds to what is indicated in the delivery document and immediately report any shortcomings to the courier, checking that the package is perfectly intact and packaged, with no obvious signs of opening, subsequent packaging or damage. Please always sign "with reserve" in case of anomalies relating to delivery (damaged package, number of packages different from what was expected). In case of acceptance of the package without reservation and after signature, complaints relating to the packaging of the package will not be admitted.
In case of intact packaging, it is however advisable to always sign subject to inspection as it is not possible to verify the contents of the package, being packaged and protected.
Non-delivered
A case of "goods not delivered to the recipient" by the courier in charge may occur for the following reasons: unknown recipient, anomaly in the address provided, unclaimed order, refused order, damage during transport, tampering.
In the event of non-delivery due to an unknown recipient or an anomaly in the address provided, Edmo reserves the right to proceed with the refund of the price, net of shipping costs, rather than a new shipment of the order if multiple shipments returned to the sender with an unknown recipient are detected. It is understood that in the case of a new shipment of the order, the costs remain the responsibility of the customer, while if the customer requests a refund, the sum will be refunded net of the costs incurred.
